Here is a list of radio frequencies that are used.

1 411.1250 Main Channel

The default channel that bus operators listen to.

2 412.1500 Booking & Dispatcher
  • Anything relating to bus operator's work shifts
  • Used to contact garage shuttle van.
3 410.7875 Select Channel
  • Mainline Routes that travels Rideau St: such as routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7
  • Kanata local routes
  • Merivale Garage trippers
4 411.4375 Select Channel
  • Mainline Routes that travels Elgin St: such as routes 6, 14, 16, 18
  • Ottawa East and Gloucester local routes
  • Ottawa South and South Keys local routes
  • Communibus Routes: 306 and 316
  • Standby Extra, 109s (they can be contacted on other select channels too)
  • Pinecrest Garage trippers
5 410.3875 Select Channel
  • Mainline non-Transitway Routes: 8, 85, 111, 116, 117, and 118
  • Nepean local routes
  • Barrhaven local routes
  • St. Laurent South Garage trippers

1 Emergency  
3 Bus Breakdown

Bus operator contacting transit control on their select channel with a mechanical failure and / or bus defect that may cause a safety concern.

5 Minor Bus Problem

Bus operator contacting transit control on their select channel with a minor problem that does not cause safety concern to passengers and/or bus operators.

Example of minor bus problems includes: destination sign malfunctioning, transfer printer not working, or out of transfer paper, etc.

6 General Communication

Bus operator requesting to speak with a transit controller on their select channel.

39 Transecure  
50 Announcement

Transit Control (or Dispatcher) makes an announcment to all bus operators on Channel 1.
